Cody got his start with filmmaking in high school, recording himself and his friends skateboarding.

He traveled a bit after high school and eventually decided to go to film school and make a career out of filmmaking. He trained in the art and science of filmmaking, and 2 or 3 years after graduating from college, he started a video production company with two partners.
